Billie Lourd, daughter of the late Carrie Fisher and granddaughter of Hollywood icon Debbie Reynolds, suffered two incredible losses in the days that followed Christmas, losing both her mother and grandmother within days of one another.
But in an act of public kindness and support, the Scream Queens star’s stepfather, Bruce Bozzi, has taken to social media to post a touching tribute to Fisher, Reynolds and Lourd, writing, “I promise I will always be the strength of these women living so vibrantly in you.”
He went on to say, “I’ve been lucky enough for a decade! Many decades to come. I love you.”
Bozzi has co-parented Lourd with her father Byran Lourd for several years, and legally became her father in October of 2016 when the pair married at The Palms.
Star Wars fans worldwide have been in a state of mourning over the loss of Fisher, 60, who played the legendary Princess Leia in the long running franchise.
Fisher’s mother, Reynolds, famous for ‘Singing in the Rain’ suffered a major stroke less than twenty-four hours later and died in hospital, aged 84.
