In her first audition on the show, Sam impressed the Judges with her version of Ellie Goulding’s ‘Explosions.’ What followed was a rollercoaster journey for Sam, where she was eliminated during the Six Chair Challenge, only to be brought back as a wildcard in Judges’ Houses. She went on to earn herself a place in the Live Shows in Simon Cowell’s Girls category, alongside Emily Middlemas and Gifty Louise.
As the show progressed, she impressed everyone with her incredible vocals performing songs such as ‘Impossible’ and ‘Earth Song,’ taking the opportunity to demonstrate her versatility and diversity.
She was unfortunately voted off the show in the sixth week when competing against Ryan Lawrie. The vote went to deadlock, where the public voted to save Ryan.
After the show finished, Sam was a part of ‘The X Factor Live Tour’ throughout February and March – alongside other contestants Matt Terry, Saara Aalto, 5 After Midnight, Four of Diamonds, Emily Middlemas, Honey G and Ryan Lawrie – performing at arenas around the UK and Ireland.
