Ronaldo Mulitalo has had a brainfade for the ages, sending the footy world into meltdown and causing angry Sharks fans to call for him to be dropped.
The 23-year-old Cronulla winger touched the sideline on a try attempt late in his side’s 33-20 win over a resilient Canterbury outfit at Accor Stadium on Saturday night, sending the internet wild over the incident.

Mulitalo’s outstretched right arm befuddled fans and commentators alike, with the dive into the corner and away from the open space behind the try line compounding problems.
Dan Ginnane on Fox League was stunned at the mistake.
“Oh no, he’s butchered another one, he did it against Souths - there was so much room inside,” Ginnane said.
“He’s touched that Brandy (Greg Alexander), you cannot give this, wow.
“What a topsy-turvy year he is having. He’s been brilliant, scoring tries at will yet probably the two worst butchering of tries across the NRL this season.”
Fox’s Greg Alexander said it was an unnecessary mistake.
“He didn’t have much pressure coming at him from the inside either, there was no need,” said Alexander.
One Twitter user said Mulitalo deserved to be dropped for the error.
“He should be dropped for this,” they said.
“This is unforgivable. He is lucky the Sharks didn’t need it to win but still terrible!”
Another called it a “new contender for the biggest bombed try of the year.”
“Mulitalo butchering two ‘on a plate’ tries,” said another.
Luckily, it would not prove fatal for a fast-starting Sharks side, led by a first-half hat-trick by Will Kennedy.
“As soon as they hit the go button, the Bulldogs didn’t have the answer,” said Dan Ginnane.

Cronulla’s Cameron McInnes called it a “gritty” performance from the Sharks in his post-match interview.
“I thought it was a really gritty game,” McInnes said.
“Bulldogs turned up to play and so did we. We sort of let them off the hook at stages there. We came out of it, which is pleasing.”
