According to a report from The Daily Beast, Kathy Griffin spoke on her past relationship with the CNN anchor, Anderson Cooper, during a clip from her latest docu-series. At the time of her infamous picture where she posed with a bloodied anesthetic version of Trump’s head, Anderson Cooper came out and said he was shocked to see what Kathy had done.

Griffin, before her audience, said, “I don’t have a punchline for this one. It just hurt and it just sucked and that’s all there is to it.” Regarding whether or not she and Anderson were able to fix their broken relationship, Kathy shook her head and claimed she once had a lot of respect for Cooper.

As it was previously reported, just one day after Anderson condemned Kathy’s attempt at shock-comedy, CNN revealed they would be terminating their relationship with Kathy and she’d be replaced by the Bravo TV executive, Andy Cohen, from Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, for that year’s New Year’s special.

After Kathy was widely shamed in the media, Cohen, her former co-worker, also took the time to poke a bit of fun at her, echoing the infamous Mariah-Carey inspired line, “Who? I don’t know her” in reference to Jennifer Lopez. Griffin said she considered it as a bit of cheap shot; it was unnecessary.

However, with all that said, Kathy believes it was the president of CNN, Jeff Zucker, who is really to blame for her damaged career. Griffin said she and Zucker had a long history together, going all the way back to the 1990s. Previously, Griffin had a role on the TV situation-comedy, Suddenly Susan.

Speaking on whether she broke the law or not by posting a picture of Donald Trump’s severed prosthetic head, Kathy said it was well within her first amendment rights. Kathy went on to say that she believes Jeff Zucker even owes her an apology.

As it was previously reported, Kathy Griffin’s career took a significant turn for the worse after she posed with a bloodied prosthetic head made out to look like that of the president, Donald Trump.

While the mainstream media and the entertainment industry love to hate on the president, a line was drawn when Kathy posed with the bloodied head.
