Cassandra Basgall Dies in Redondo Beach DUI Car Accident

Torrance resident Cassandra Basgall died at the scene of Monday evenings crash at Rindge Lane and Artesia Boulevard, while the other driver was taken to a hospital and accused of driving while impaired, according to the Redondo Beach Police Department.

A 48-year-old woman killed in a two-vehicle collision in Redondo Beach allegedly caused by impaired driving was identified Tuesday.

Torrance resident Cassandra Basgall died at the scene of Monday evening’s crash at Rindge Lane and Artesia Boulevard, while the other driver was taken to a hospital and accused of driving while impaired, according to the Redondo Beach Police Department.

Police said the other motorist’s identity was being withheld due to the person’s current medical condition and the ongoing status of the investigation by the department’s Traffic Unit. They said the driver could be facing charges of felony vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated sometime this week.
